Behind the Design: HITZEFREI

A DAY AT THE SEASIDE: The cheerful, summery design HITZEFREI instantly calls to mind the smell of sunscreen and salt water. Printed in Switzerland on fine 105 satin in swiss+cotton quality using 12 screens, HITZEFREI adds a touch of holiday flair to any bedroom and bathroom. The picture was painted by hand at the design studio using tempera and shows a bird’s-eye view of people splashing in the water. It is overlaid with a new generation of white pigment to accentuate the crests of the waves and reflections. There are countless carefully rendered and humorous details waiting to be discovered in the HITZEFREI design.

The HITZEFREI velour bath towel is made from Dreampure terry fabric with a weight of 400 g/m2. This velour features a voluminous loop on the rear side and is exceptionally soft to the touch. The front has a white ground and is clipped, allowing complex designs like HITZEFREI to be printed digitally, just like on a piece of paper.
